Discovery Time

The children from Rooms 4, 12, 11 and 10 had a great time in Discovery Time. This week in Room 4 we had construction uisng off cuts of wood and cable reels. The constructions were amazing.  There was also puppet making, puppet shows and painitng.

  

Teen and Ty Numbers Term 1 2018

Room 4 have been learning all about teen and ty numbers during maths this week.  They know that a teen number has a one at the front and that a Ty number has a 0 at the end when a ten number. Well done Room 4 we will keep on practising.

Using a Snakes and Ladders Board. We placed the Teddy Bears on the teen numbers and the decade ty numbers.

We used magnetic tens frames to make the teen numbers.

Maths in Room 4 2018

Room 4 were learning to sequence numbers from 1 to 20 from biggest to smallest. They used their own bodies to sort out the number sequences. 

Room 4 and Room 16 first buddy meet up of 2018

Room 4 and 16 met for the first time this week and enjoyed an afternoon of finger print art.  They worked with a buddy and drew around their hands and then filled in the hand outlines with their finger prints. A great way of getting to know one another.  Well done Room 16 and Room 4.  You created some awesome designs.
