Woodlice in Room 4

Room 4 have been collecting Woodlice as part of their Minii Beast Topic. They built a habitat in a old lunch box. They thought that they like to live in damp dark places, so filled the lunch box with soil and pebbles.

Today they carried out an experiment to show that they had built the correct habitat . They put a pile of sand and a pile of dirt on paper then let the Woodlice free. After a few minutes the Woodlice headed for the pile of dirt and buried themselves in.

This proves that Woodlice like to live in damp and dark places.
