Geometry Art inspired by Piet Mondrian

Room 4 enjoyed being inspired by the work of Piet Mondrian. His work focuses on lines, block colour and Geometrical shape. This was a time consuming piece of art and it took Room 4 most of term 2 to complete their pictures.

Firstly they created the lines from a ruler placed in different directions across the page. Then they drew around 2 Dimensional shapes to soften the lines and add interest.

Lastly they used colouring pencils to fill in the shapes and create their unique designs.  If you want to see their master pieces close up please feel free to pop into Room 4 to have a look.

  1. I love your art Room 4, it's very cool. Did it take you a long time to complete it? How smart you are learning about maths and an artist at the same time. Ms Landall Room 1
